Recycling Process for Recovering Polyethylene Plastics

A recycling process for polyethylene plastics belongs to the field of waste plastic recycling. Waste polyethylene plastics are first pelletized, then cleaned by a washing machine to remove impurities, dried and dissolved in ethyl acetate solution under heating. After complete melting, ethanol is added to layer the mixture: the upper layer is a mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate, and the lower layer is polyethylene. After liquid separation, the lower-layer polyethylene is placed in a drying tower, where steam is introduced to wash off residual ethanol and ethyl acetate, followed by hot air drying. The invention uses environmentally benign ethyl acetate and ethanol as solvents to dissolve polyethylene, followed by layering, separation and drying. The process is simple with mild conditions, yielding high-quality recycled polyethylene with no adverse effects on reuse.
