The invention aims to provide a process for producing hollow boards from recycled waste plastics. Waste plastic recycled masterbatch, virgin polypropylene masterbatch and additives are blended in a high-speed mixer, then fed into a screw extruder to extrude strands, which are cooled and pelletized. The blended material is mixed with a colorant at a weight ratio of 100:1–2, melted in an injection molding machine and injected into a mold to obtain a sheet blank. The blank is pulled between rubber rollers of a tractor, cooled and cut to obtain hollow boards. The beneficial effects are that the process produces flat, non-toxic and pollution-free hollow boards from recycled waste plastics, with customizable colors via different colorants. The mechanical properties such as impact resistance and tensile strength meet factory standards. The process reduces production costs, improves corporate profit margins, and is environmentally friendly through waste plastic recycling.
