Method for Stripping Metal Coatings from Waste Plastics

The invention relates to a waste metal recycling method, in particular to a stripping process for simultaneously recovering waste plastics and metals from metal-coated waste plastics. Under aerobic conditions, hydrochloric acid is used to treat the metal coating on waste plastics to generate chloride solutions of copper, nickel and chromium. Sulfuric acid is then added to convert chlorides into sulfates, which are easy to crystallize into high-value products such as copper sulfate and nickel sulfate for subsequent separation. The treated waste plastics are cleaned and reprocessed into plastic pellets. All process solutions can be recycled without waste liquid discharge or environmental pollution. The method features low cost and zero pollution, enables efficient utilization of all components of metal-coated waste plastics, and delivers remarkable economic and social benefits.
