The invention discloses a method for producing flat yarn of woven bags by processing waste plastics. The raw materials are formulated as follows: 100 parts of selected waste plastic raw materials, 0.6 parts of 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol, 0.3 parts of β-propionic acid, 0.5 parts of phosphite, 0.8 parts of benzotriazole compound, 0.6 parts of paraffin wax, 2.3 parts of titanium dioxide, 1.5 parts of epoxy resin, and 0.8 parts of calcium stearate. Modification, whitening and lubrication are completed through proportioned batching, and the mixture is pre-mixed by stirring to form yarn-making raw materials. After melting, the materials undergo filtration, film extrusion, water cooling and stretching, with water cooling performed at 50℃ to 60℃ and the stretching ratio set to 6.5 times. Tests show that the warp and weft breaking force of the flat yarn manufactured by the method of the present invention are both greater than 700N/50mm, which greatly improves the tensile strength of the flat yarn, eliminates yarn breakage during weaving, and achieves remarkable technical effects.
