The invention provides a glass fiber reinforced waste polyethylene composite material, comprising the following components by mass: 100 parts of crushed waste polyethylene, 10–40 parts of glass fiber, 0–20 parts of compatibilizer, and 0.1–2 parts of rare earth titanate coupling agent. The rare earth titanate coupling agent is a composite coupling agent prepared by a coordination reaction of lanthanum oxide and pyrophosphate titanate. In the present invention, glass fiber modified with a rare earth surface modifier is adopted to reinforce waste polyethylene, and a compatibilizer is used for toughening, so as to endow the composite material with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. It provides an effective approach for the recycling and reuse of waste polyethylene plastics.
